In 2017, I was found lying on the floor with blood coming out of my right ear.
I was in a coma for 21 days and woke up to find that I had suffered a traumatic brain injury. I couldn’t stand up, walk, swallow, eat, talk or write well—I had lost all my abilities.
Half of my skull was gone, and my right eye was blind. But even in my darkest moment, I discovered that I still had something left: grit, determination, and the will not just to survive, but to thrive. This experience has taught me the importance of pushing beyond our limits and embracing the power of resilience. I now share my story to help others see the dynamic nature of who we truly are, how we love, and why it matters.
